Saturday Soccer!

Coach "J" and the Soccer Team
(The "Serious Look"...or maybe the "Just Try and Stop Us" faces)!

Jarrett has been wanting to be more involved with the kids homeschooling in some fashion. We basically have our own little community school right here in Rosemont! I teach Gymnastics, Kent teaches my neices art, Uncle Chris has mentioned teaching History, Jessica is planning to teach sign language, and Cassie will be teaching Annalise Math. Isn't that awesome! Jarrett has a passion for soccer and would love to pass that passion down to someone. Sydney and Annalise have both talked about playing soccer for awhile now. And Sydney has thought about signing up on a local soccer team for her birthday gift in February. So, Jarrett thought the best time to get out and practice would be during this "cooler" season. His plan is to take them out each Saturday and teach them the fundamentals of soccer! This past Saturday was their first practice!

Here is my little gymnast on the soccer field doing her stretches! Wow, she sure has gained some flexability!

Coach "J" (as the girls have named him) has told the girls that soccer involves lots of running!
Run girls run!

And look how great they did at dribbling that soccer ball!

After practice, the girls wanted to watch a "real" soccer team play a game. Sydney and Annalise cheered for the pink team, Morgan cheered for the white and blue team, and Avery was distracted by the soccer team from the sidelines doing cheers (I think we might be looking at a future cheerleader...soccer, not so much).

(The "Happy Look")

Coach "J" will be out of town this Saturday and he has asked me to take the girls out to play. I don't know how many skills they will actually learn from me. But, I can assure you that we will be kicking a ball and running a lot! I will make sure to take lots of water and oranges, just as Coach "J" promised.
