Potty Training!

So the potty training has begun!

About a week ago, I decided to start working on potty training. Allison has been showing all the qualifications of a child that is ready to introduce to the potty! And she is actually doing very well! She loves getting her "candy" treat (actually a Juice Plus vitamin) when she goes pee pee! We have went diaperless on a few days just for fun. Too bad "fun" also includes cleaning up the floors on occassion! As long as I can get Allison to the potty about every half hour, we have a successful pee. Unfortunately, as in most cases, she is not as excited and willing to poop on command. She has come to me to tell me, in her sweet little voice, that she has got some poop on the way. I then rush her to the potty and sit for over 15 minutes (reading every Elmo book I can find). After no poop, I take her off and remind her to tell mommy if she needs to come back to potty. And without hesitation, she finds the nearest hiding spot and poops away! Oh well, we will get there one day!

Here is a picture of what Allison likes to the with the toilet paper when mommy leaves the bathroom to give her some quiet, personal time (in hopes that maybe she needed her privacy to poop...unfortunately, not).

And last night, after bathtime, I asked Annalise to read Allison a few books while I went to get their pajamas. Of course this couldn't go without another potty training picture. I even got some video of Annalise reading to Allison. Annalise is such a good big sister!
