Little Updates...

  • Allison does have an ear infection. The doctor said it was severe and had to prescribe antibiotics (which I hate)! She has never been "antibiotic sick" before (sad day). But, her doctor only prescribes antibiotics as a last resort. So, I believe in it's necessity and wanted relief a.s.a.p! Her fever is gone, her ears seems to feel better, and she's as crazy as ever!
  • After seeing Brittani and Brandi's post on "The Wheel," I realized that I haven't updated my readers with my Wheel of Fortune status....NO LETTER, NO PHONE CALL. I had made it to the last round of auditions (which was really exciting and ever so hopeful)! But, I never received a formal invite to be a contestant, which was said to happen by the middle of the month if chosen for the show. Bummer! My budget would have loved that!
  • Speaking of my budget, our van was having mechanical issues and had to be taken to the shop for an inspection. The first estimate given was for over $1200 to fix the immediate need and to allow save driving, and over $1800 to do all of the all the work (as declared by the mechanics). Fortunately, we took the car for another estimate and was told the repairs needed to assure save driving would only be a little over $200!!!! Yay! We still didn't have the money, but had to fix our transportation. So, on to the credit card it went! Happy...but Sad!
  • Now for the good news...we had a big garage sale yesterday (which will soon be posted on Cassie's site) and I personally brought in over $200! Praise the Lord! And as a whole, the sales exceeded $900! A few of the families asked to join us so they could sell items in order to give the profits to charity and our church's ministry. It was a great day!
  • And lastly, Thanksgiving is coming this week and our family will be driving to Georgia on Tuesday (poor Jarrett...he is driving home from North Georgia now...gotta love those car rides). Pray for safety and good health as we travel for the holiday (and for Jarrett's trip home today)! Some good friends of ours are getting ready to load their car after church today to travel to GA. Mommy and 5 year old are sick! Traveling is hard enough with 3 kids, even more so with sickness. Say a quick little prayer for their family today as they will have a long journey ahead of them.
That's all for my updates today.

Blessings,

Jaime
