Breakfast in Bed

Now that the cold mornings have moved into the Central Florida area, it's hard to move about our house without the heater on. It takes a few hours before the home gets comfortable enough to take our socks off. And I love to save on our electricity during the chilly months. I think we only turned our heater on once last year.

So, as I call Annalise into the kitchen for breakfast, she calls out and says, "Mommy, can we have breakfast in bed today. I'm cold." My first instinct is to immediately respond with "absolutely not!" Did I forget to mention that she is curled up on MY bed? But, this time, I thought it was time to be fun (and nice...it was cold out from under those blankets)! So, I said, "YES! You can!"

So, here they are. Yep, that's also my almost 2 year old eating eggs on my bed. They actually did a great job at keeping all the food on their trays.

I'm loving this weather! A morning where socks are needed is a great thing! And if the girls keep it up with clean trays, we may have more breakfast in bed days coming.

I don't even want to know what temperature a "cold" Florida morning is.

Our heat is on now...26 degrees at night will force ya a little.;)

Wow - you are sooo brave! Eggs in your bed no less! That was a very smart thing for Annalise to ask for!
