After anxiously waiting for 15 min or so and my bladder being COMPLETELY full of the water (that the sonographer requested for good results) we headed into the ultrasound room.
You are now invited to be in the room and my brain for the next few minutes...
(okay Jaime, for months you have tried not to guess or wish the sex of this baby... I've been wrong the first two times. I've even been struggling praying for a healthy baby. I really wanted whatever God wanted to bless us with...boy, girl, child with a disability, whatever he was giving, was going to be a true gift. And really, I have gotten so used to the idea of another girl. How sweet. And, me not having a son or a brother...I knew what to do with a girl)
Within seconds of the sonographer peeking in and working on diagnostics, she turned around sweetly and said...
"You are going to have a SON!"
We looked at the screen and giggled (continuing to cry) as we saw the obvious proof. Daddy was SO proud! Jarrett's precious face lit up! Our eyes met immediately (all watery of course) and we couldn't stop smiling at each other! It was pretty surreal. I am pretty sure we stared at the screen for the next hour continuing to make sure it wasn't a mistake. AND IT WASN'T :)
Well, we have been on cloud nine all day in complete thankfulness and humbleness at the gift of life and for the surprising news that we will be adding another man to the Largaespada family!
There is not much more that I can think of to say...
I just keep smiling :)
Thank you Jesus for our gift!
