Pedicure with my Girls!

One day this week, after a long day of cleaning the house, my feet were needing some pampering. The girls and I took a trip out for pedicures and dinner! Didn't really have the money for it, but the ladies gave us a great deal. Annalise was half price and Allison was free! We will definitely have to go back for another girl outing soon!

On our way there, I stopped to get gas and Annalise convinced me to get the car washed. She loves the CAR WASH! I just had to get pictures of that too!

Annalise gets really excited when the brushes spin against the window!

Allison has a sweet smile. But in all honesty, she was quite nervous. It eventually turned into a small fear with her reaching to Mommy to get her OUT! I explained to Allison that the car was getting his teeth brushed with BIG toothbrushes. She wasn't impressed. She kept saying, "No like teeth, No like teeth!" Before that happened, I did get some cute pictures (a little deceiving)!

Okay, back to the pedicures! Annalise and Allison picked pink with sparkles!

I just don't think it is possible for Allison to take a bad picture!

Allison sat in my lap and I held her over the water. That poor nail tech probably wasn't planning on getting splashed that day!
Double duty!
The finished product! Such a sweet day with my girls!

4 Generation Hang!

Last Sunday my girls and I headed to Silver Springs to visit my Grandparents and Uncle who are from the great state of Maine! They are here for vacation for a whole month! My dad and step mom also came down from Georgia and we spend the day together. It was such a special time because I don't get to see my grandparents often. I could probably squeeze our visits onto a little more than 1 hand. We had such a good time!

Even though this was a "4 Generation Hang," I didn't get to get a picture of the 4 Generations (Allison was napping)! STINK! I hope to get back up there with my Dad to get that picture soon!

How about 3 Generations!
Can you tell we are related?

Great Grandpa and Allison playing with Mrs. Potato Head!

Great Grandma Ellee and Annalise were trying to beat me and Uncle Jim in a game of "Sorry!"
Against all their valiant efforts, it didn't turn out the way they wanted!
This is one of my favorite pics. My dad (I think) took this one while I was trying to see what Granny was showing her girls. It was a birds nest! A big one! You will just have to wonder how awesome it was.

Some other great pictures with Cathy (Granny)! I loved these too!

Granny and Peanut!
Gramps and Allison
(by the way, Allison was definitely in the picture mood...Annalise...not so much)!
Thanks to my Dad and Cathy, we were able to battle out some Wii Bowling! Annalise is quite the Power Bowler! Watch out Granny, you've got some competition!
And this was quite funny too...Allison took the other Wii controller (during a 1 Player game) and thought she was an incredible bowler! Notice Great Grandpa's arm by the chair. I was very impressed with his bowling skills from the floor!

We had a wonderful day together and can't wait to do it again soon!

On a whim and we saw SNOW!

So it was 9:30 this morning when we received a phone call from "Mimi" in Georgia with some exciting news...it was SNOWING!!! I noticed the weather in Orlando this morning was quite briskly and cold but never had any idea that just a short 5 hours north it would be snowing. I was raised in Georgia...middle GA. It just doesn't snow often there. If it does, you might see some flurries that don't stick.

What exactly do I do with this information? I have been to Pennsylvania (in the dead of Winter) to see my sister twice now and hadn't seen any snow (which made me quite mad at the time also). Annalise saw snow when she was very little and doesn't remember it. She was also hoping to see snow in PA when visiting Aunt Ami. And Allison has never seen snow.

Now, we were very much in the middle of getting ready for church for the day. I hung up the phone from Mimi, ran to the bathroom where Jarrett was getting out of the shower and pounded on the door with a crazy request..."LET's GO to GEORGIA!" He had no idea what I was talking about. So, after my explanation through my childlike excitement, he said, "GO for IT!" He couldn't go because of work and school. We told the kids to change out of their pretty little skirts and throw on some comfy travel clothes because we are going to see Mimi and Papa!!! They jumped and screamed (like they always do with that kind of news) and they had no idea that they might see snow.

Jarrett took the car and filled up the gas and checked the tires. I packed my bags and we were out the door in about an hour! During our trip, Mimi called and said the snow had stopped and had melted away. I was so sad. Jarrett called and said it wasn't looking good to get anymore snow. I didn't like hearing that either! So, I began praying! I had already prepared myself for this possible news (which is why I didn't tell the kids). But, I was in a crazy "road trip" mood anyways and decided we would have fun seeing Mimi and Papa anyways. But, yes, I did pray. And I prayed for just another glimpse of God's wonderful majesty...snow! It wasn't much longer before I decided to check in with my dad and he told me it was snowing MAD CRAZY!!!!!! Yes! And we only had a hour to go! HOLD ON SNOW, HERE WE COME!!!

When we were only 30 miles short of our destination, the snow began! Annalise screamed!!! She called her Daddy and told him the news! She just couldn't wait to get to Mimi and Papa's and play in it! The scenery was just beautiful once we exited off the interstate. Hwy 96 was just an awesome site with fields and pecan groves that were blanketed with gleaming white snow! I LOVE SNOW!

The scene outside Mimi and Papa's front door!
Outside trying to get comfortable before playing in the snow.
Mimi with her grandbabies in the snow!

My Beautiful Snow Babies!!!

Shoveling snow for snowball fighting!

Allison wasn't sure about touching the snow. Her gloves stayed quite dry!

Papa is bracing for the first direct line snowball!

Get 'em girl!

Bracing for revenge!

Annalise's first snow angel!

What a fun "On a whim" trip!!!
