She's a Daisy! It's Official!

Annalise had her investiture ceremony this week at Daisy Scouts. This is a ceremony in which an individual becomes a member of the Girl Scout Movement by making the Girl Scout Promise and by receiving the membership pin. Annalise had to stand in a Ring of Daisies (so creative Michelle) and state the Girl Scout Promise - "On my honor, I will try to serve God and my country. To help people at all times and to live by the girl scout law." Since I am a co-leader and Annalise's mommy, I had the honor of presenting Annalise with her ingsignia pin!

She did a great job! She is now officially a Daisy Scout! Annalise has recieved 2 petals for her tunic - which will one day form a colorful daisy!

Not only did Annalise recite the Girl Scout Promise on Friday...we also held our Daisy Scout Christmas Party! We had a blast! The girls made cookies, played freeze dance to PureNRG's Christmas CD, did a "fill the stocking" relay race, recieved a Daisy Scout necklace (so cute), and more!!!

Annalise and our Daisy Scout Leader Michelle!

Annalise with a couple of her friends!
And at the close of every meeting, the Daisies, Leaders, and Parents form a friendship circle -- standing in a circle, we all cross our right hand over our left, and take hold of the hand of the person on each side.
Proud to be a Girl Scout Mommy!!!!

Congratulations! You are about to embark on a wonderful journey with your daughter. Although there was no "Daisy" when my girls were young, we enjoyed all aspects of scouting together...all the way to Seniors!
