Since we have an extended weekend for the Labor Day holiday, we decided to head for Middle GA. We loaded up the van about 7:30 last night and off we went! We love night travel with our kids...it's so quiet!
This trip to GA is a sad but sweet trip. Jarrett's grandmother, "Nanny," is currently residing in an Assisted Living Community. She is selling her home that she lived in for almost 50 years. Unfortunately, Jarrett was unable to see Nanny's home one last time before things were moved out. My husband is quite the "family man." He holds much value in the memories he has shared with his family through the years. So, this trip he will have the opportunity to say goodbye to a home he loved dearly and spent so many years of his life.
We should be heading over to her house in a few hours. I will definitely be taking pictures and letting you know how it goes.
