Join us for "Mommy and Me!"

Since Allison has been so social and wiggly, I had been toying around with the idea to begin a "Mommy and Me" class. I was able to do a trial class with Annalise when she was younger. I loved it but, couldn't afford to pay $58 per month to join the class. I thought..."I can do this." Why pay someone a crazy amount of money for something I could do on my own. In earlier and recent years, I have really enjoyed teaching gymnastics. I have worked with pre-school aged children to pre-team level gymnastics. But, I now would love to focus on our little ones who are under that level and give them the same opportunity to socialize and bounce around!!!

So for about a month now, I have been teaching a "Mommy and Me" class to children who are walking to 2 1/2 years old. With Mommy, they learn basic gymnastics techniques like walking on a low beam with mommy's help, forward rolls, hopping, and more. We also have playtime using fun props such as a parachute and bouncy balls. And we will play music together. We learn fun songs while playing instruments, dancing, waving scarves to the beat of the music and ringing bells to favorite songs.

So far our class has about 6 mommies and their little ones! I don't have them all pictured because I consistently forget my camera (I know, that shouldn't be allowed when you blog). Aren't they just adorable!!! And if you have a little one that you think would like to be a part of Mommy and Me, we would love to have you both join us! Just let me know!

If only you were still in St. Louis! I still miss you dearly, but I guess Orlando needed you more. I have been sick all weekend and into this week and that is why I haven't returned your call yet.
Missing and loving you,

Who is that precious little thing in the last picture on the trampoline? Can I have her?! :)

You girls are so creative and so good at thinking of ways to save money! Miss you already!!
Love you, Jen

So I am curious, do you just make up your own "curriculum" for the class or do you use the Mommy & Me stuff? I think this is a great idea to do at home. Those classes can be so expensive.
