Before and After Home Decorating!

Jarrett went out of town for about 5 days and I got in the decorating mood...

FIRST - A walk down memory lane....This HORRIBLE VIDEO will stand to be the "BEFORE"

It was taken in August of 2007. I sent this video to my dad as a cry for help to him to ask what do I do with this thing!!!! I was definitely ready to do something with this disgusting eye sore! Unfortunately, it took almost 2 years to make a change.
BEFORE!

And refreshingly....

AFTER!

After buying a bistro set and some plants...then returning them,

After taking the bistro set back...bought a cute picnic table for the girls...then, yep, took it back!

Finally, after an idea from Jessica, I was off to IKEA for my final purchase....AND KEPT IT!!!

So, we pieced together this sweet little child's area for my girls! The leaf serves as a nice shade from the sun. We have lanterns hanging on the back wall with tea lights to burn at night! SWEET SWEET SWEET!!!

SECOND - for a lack of better pictures of my kitchen (believe me, I've never loved my kitchen enough to get pictures before), here is....
BEFORE

(curious about these pics? check out the post here)

Notice those white walls and plain cabinets. BORING!

And finally...

AFTER!

Just add some sage paint, new drawer pulls and cabinet knobs, a few accent decorations, rub-on wall art (love that stuff), and here you have it...A NEW KITCHEN!

Jarrett was VERY SURPRISED and VERY PLEASED!!! We love our new spaces!

Here are the girls enjoying breakfast!

Allison also had breakfast outside one morning!

My thank you speech -
I couldn't have got all this done without you, Cory, Cassie, Sunday (new blog coming soon, I hear), Jessica, and Nathaniel!
Thanks SO MUCH!!!!
