What exactly do I do with this information? I have been to Pennsylvania (in the dead of Winter) to see my sister twice now and hadn't seen any snow (which made me quite mad at the time also). Annalise saw snow when she was very little and doesn't remember it. She was also hoping to see snow in PA when visiting Aunt Ami. And Allison has never seen snow.
Now, we were very much in the middle of getting ready for church for the day. I hung up the phone from Mimi, ran to the bathroom where Jarrett was getting out of the shower and pounded on the door with a crazy request..."LET's GO to GEORGIA!" He had no idea what I was talking about. So, after my explanation through my childlike excitement, he said, "GO for IT!" He couldn't go because of work and school. We told the kids to change out of their pretty little skirts and throw on some comfy travel clothes because we are going to see Mimi and Papa!!! They jumped and screamed (like they always do with that kind of news) and they had no idea that they might see snow.
Jarrett took the car and filled up the gas and checked the tires. I packed my bags and we were out the door in about an hour! During our trip, Mimi called and said the snow had stopped and had melted away. I was so sad. Jarrett called and said it wasn't looking good to get anymore snow. I didn't like hearing that either! So, I began praying! I had already prepared myself for this possible news (which is why I didn't tell the kids). But, I was in a crazy "road trip" mood anyways and decided we would have fun seeing Mimi and Papa anyways. But, yes, I did pray. And I prayed for just another glimpse of God's wonderful majesty...snow! It wasn't much longer before I decided to check in with my dad and he told me it was snowing MAD CRAZY!!!!!! Yes! And we only had a hour to go! HOLD ON SNOW, HERE WE COME!!!
When we were only 30 miles short of our destination, the snow began! Annalise screamed!!! She called her Daddy and told him the news! She just couldn't wait to get to Mimi and Papa's and play in it! The scenery was just beautiful once we exited off the interstate. Hwy 96 was just an awesome site with fields and pecan groves that were blanketed with gleaming white snow! I LOVE SNOW!
The scene outside Mimi and Papa's front door!

Outside trying to get comfortable before playing in the snow.

Mimi with her grandbabies in the snow!

My Beautiful Snow Babies!!!

Shoveling snow for snowball fighting!
Allison wasn't sure about touching the snow. Her gloves stayed quite dry!
Papa is bracing for the first direct line snowball!
Get 'em girl!

Bracing for revenge!
What a fun "On a whim" trip!!!
